Meet the Doctor

Amy Platko-Williams
DVM

Amy Platko-Williams, DVM received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1996. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University in 1992. 

In 1996, she moved to the Honesdale area and has worked as a veterinarian in Wayne County since then. Dr. Platko lives in the Honesdale area with her husband Clark Williams and their two daughters. She also shares her home and life with her dogs, Jennie and Zsa Zsa, and 4 cats.

Dr. Platko has a special interest in small animal internal medicine, particularly endocrinology, and behavior. She also is interested in exotic animal medicine, treating rabbits, ferrets, and rodents. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and gardening.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, and the Northeast Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.
