What to Expect

In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you should expect high quality care as well as great service. Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. Our commitment to you is to
continue to offer our world class service and a state of the art veterinary facility.

Your pet's annual vet check-up will include a total physical exam, from head to tail. Vaccinations, routine blood tests, and nutritional assessment will also be recommended and performed. Like you, your pet can lose his/her teeth due to decay and neglect. We will also do a dental evaluation to assess your pet's oral health. Because even the most cooperative pet may not readily go along with teeth and gum brushing, a cleaning by the veterinarian may be in order. It's a good idea to keep an accurate medical diary not only of the procedures and vaccinations your pet receives at the vet, but also to keep track of small shifts in your pet's behavior, including appetite and elimination habits, diet and routine modifications, and any physical changes or unusual occurrences. Take this notebook when you visit the vet. These seemingly unrelated occurrences may help explain results of your pet's medical tests, and help the veterinarian in recommending the best prevention or treatment plan for your pet.

Whether your pet visits us for routine exams or in time of illness, our veterinary staff is understanding and compassionate and willing to take the time to explain all the procedures your pet undergoes. We hope to provide you with a veterinarian and staff with whom both you and your pet feel comfortable.  We are a conveniently located veterinary care facility, with qualified staff and equipment to perform medical procedures such as x-rays, blood test, ultrasounds, and procedures that require anesthesia such as surgery and dental cleanings.

In some cases, Dr. Platko may refer you to a specialist. These veterinarians have completed advanced studies in specialties such as surgery, and emergency care. At times, your pet may need to undergo a procedure that requires more precise knowledge and experience, or require 24-hour care, so these specialists can provide the services you pet needs.
